How we handle
your information.
Short version: we only collect what you send us, we don't share it, we don't track you around the web, and we'll delete it if you ask.
Who we are
Formwork is a two-person consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Formwork. If you need to contact us about privacy, email hello@formwork.au.
What we collect
Only what you give us through the contact form on this site — your name, business name, email address, and whatever you write in the message field. Nothing more. We don't run analytics that identify you, we don't set marketing cookies, and we don't share your details with third parties for advertising or profiling.
Why we collect it
So we can reply to your enquiry, arrange a conversation, and follow up if it turns into a project. That's the whole purpose. We don't use it for anything else.
Who sees it
Just us — Max and Finn. If you become a client, the details you provide during a build (whatever's needed to do the work) are treated the same way. We don't sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone unless required by Australian law.
Where it lives
Enquiries land in our email inbox. If you become a client, project data sits with us and in whichever infrastructure the build requires — we'll always tell you where before we set it up. We prefer Australian-hosted infrastructure by default.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into projects: we delete them within six months. Client project records: kept while the project is live and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and legal reasons, then deleted on request.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask us:
- What personal information we hold about you
- To correct anything that's wrong
- To delete your information (subject to any legal retention obligations)
Email hello@formwork.au and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we've handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au.
Analytics
If we ever add analytics to this site, we'll use a cookieless provider that doesn't identify individual visitors, and we'll update this page before switching it on.
Changes to this policy
If anything material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and — if the change affects existing clients or contacts — we'll email you.
